Strawberry Greenhouse Project Case

Project Name: Commercial Strawberry Greenhouse Project
Location: Spain
Greenhouse Area: 15,000 m²
Crop: Premium Strawberries
Covering Material: 5-Layer PO Greenhouse Film
Film Thickness: 200 Microns
Expected Lifespan: 5 Years

A professional strawberry grower in Spain invested in a modern greenhouse facility to extend the harvesting season, improve fruit quality, and increase production efficiency. To achieve optimal growing conditions, the greenhouse was covered with our high-performance PO greenhouse film.

Growing Challenges

Before adopting our greenhouse film solution, the grower faced several production issues:

  • Large temperature fluctuations between day and night
  • Poor fruit coloring during cloudy periods
  • Excessive condensation inside the greenhouse
  • Increased disease pressure due to high humidity
  • High maintenance costs caused by frequent film replacement

Our Solution

The customer selected our advanced multi-layer PO greenhouse film designed specifically for high-value fruit production.

High Light Transmission

The film provides excellent light transmission above 92%, allowing strawberry plants to receive sufficient sunlight throughout the growing season. Enhanced light penetration promotes faster growth, improved flowering, and brighter fruit color.

Anti-Drip & Anti-Fog Technology

Special anti-drip additives prevent water droplets from accumulating on the inner film surface. Moisture forms a thin water layer and flows downward, reducing disease risks and ensuring consistent light distribution.

Superior Thermal Insulation

The PO greenhouse film effectively retains heat during cold nights, creating a stable microclimate that supports healthy strawberry growth and earlier fruit production.

UV Stabilization

Advanced UV-resistant additives protect the film from degradation caused by strong sunlight, ensuring long-term durability and performance.

High Mechanical Strength

The multi-layer structure provides excellent tear resistance, wind resistance, and impact resistance, making it suitable for large commercial strawberry operations.

Results After Installation

Following the first production season, the customer achieved significant improvements:

  • 22% increase in strawberry yield
  • Earlier harvest by approximately 10–15 days
  • Improved fruit size, color, and sweetness
  • Reduced occurrence of fungal diseases
  • Lower heating and maintenance costs
  • Extended production season and higher market value

Customer Feedback

"Our strawberry greenhouse environment became much more stable after installing the PO greenhouse film. Fruit quality improved noticeably, and the anti-drip performance helped reduce disease problems. The film has exceeded our expectations."
